Wikis

I had a look at three of the wikis made by other people. I chose to look at Book lovers wiki, which i found really interesting, because you could read people's reviews of current books etc. The mint museum's blog about their displays were also very interesting, especially the ones concerning Andy Warhol etc. Lastly, I chose to look at Possible Next Generations catalogs, and some of the wikis were suprisingly amusing.

Flickr

Alright, i had a good look around flickr, i've used it a fair bit for school assignments etc. I had a look at the pictures of Mosman Library, and then i looked up some pictures of Coolum and Coolum Library. Very nice. For 'fun' i skipped looking up vegiemite for giant animals, which resulted in a lot of pictures of people in giant animal suits playing badminton. Then i had a look at snakes. I've posted one that is particularly interesting.

Learning to test drive

I found the Stephen Fry video interesting. I am enjoying this course and the information it is providing me. I think it is very important that we are offered to learn about these tools on the internet, as I believe they are vital for the development of libraries. I can see a use for blogs in libraries for staff to communicate with not only the public, but other staff members from other branches.
